'One-Year Personal Project' is a training course for photographers, and over the course of a year will immerse you in personal photography — and raise the money to realize your own project.
Throughout the year, we follow the development of your photographic project closely, and along the way give you a number of concrete ideas and inputs on how to develop, realize and finish your work.
You will receive guidance on image processing and completing your photographs so that the finished work gets the high quality you dream of. And in addition, you get a solid foundation of methods in idea development, planning, project development, project description and fundraising.
In short: You will learn to master the artistic process from idea to work in practice — paving the way for you to develop your own projects as a photographer in the future, elevate the quality of your photography and your entire work process, so that you achieve a strong foundation for your personal photography. So you get ready to bring your project out into the world.
The 'One-Year Personal Project' alternates between practice, theory and evaluations and includes both live and online elements with immersive workshops in Copenhagen, webinars with online teaching and individual online sessions.

Du bliver præsenteret for en række metoder og skabeloner til, hvordan du formulerer dine idéer og kunstneriske ambitioner omkring dit projekt, og får dem ned på papir.

Etablering af en god kunstnerisk arbejdsproces
Du bliver skarp på, hvordan du griber en kunstnerisk udviklingsproces an – både i forhold til dig selv og dem, dit projekt involverer.
Konstruktiv kritik og billedevaluering
Du lærer at forstå betydningen af, hvordan du både giver og modtager kritik af andres og eget arbejde både på et teoretisk og praktisk niveau.
Æstetik og billedforståelse
Du får opbygget din forståelse for æstetik og billedstil og bliver bedre til at arbejde både intuitivt og bevidst med stil og udtryk i din fotografiske fortælling.
Billedudvælgelse og opbygning af billedserier
Du lærer effektive metoder til at arbejde med billedudvælgelsen og sammensætningen af dine fotografier så du ender ud med et resultat, som er stærkt og personligt.
We start by meeting for a two-day workshop so that there is plenty of time to get to know each other and to work in depth and focus on the individual elements of the training.
Each participant presents his or her current photographic work in the form of a portfolio, project or realized works. We provide feedback and discuss what thoughts and ideas you have for your project that you will be working on in the coming year.
You will learn a number of methods and processes to develop ideas for your project, so you will become aware of how to put yourself in play and create an imprint in your images.
You also get a range of tools to create an overview, structure and coherence in your work process, so that you are kept to the fire and stay focused on what is important to achieve your project.
We hold monthly individual online sessions with each participant, where we review your photos, talk about your process and give you constructive feedback on your work.
In addition, there will be access to online teaching materials, which you will also have access to after the training ends.
Along the way, we also have live calls with the whole team and continuous contact in our closed network group on Facebook, where you always have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas or get suggestions for books, exhibitions, etc.
We meet for a two-day workshop where each participant presents their work in progress. We discuss the images and your process in depth and give you input and suggestions for your further process.
Later in the module, we will meet again for a two-day workshop where you will be taught how to write and how to put your ideas and projects into words. And you will be presented with a series of methods and templates for how to formulate your ideas and artistic ambitions around your project, and get it down on paper.
In addition, we will meet for two days, where you will get an introduction to fundraising and teaching Photoshop.
The teaching is supported by access to online training materials in Photoshop, how to build a project description from A to Z, and how to work strategically with fundraising so that you have the opportunity to raise funds to realize your photographic project.
The classes are followed by live calls, where there is an opportunity to ask questions.
And then we hold monthly individual zoom sessions with each participant, where we review your photos, talk about your process and give you constructive feedback on your work.
We are constantly in contact in our joint networking group on Facebook.
As in the other two modules, we begin again with a two-day workshop where each participant presents their “work in progress” and we discuss the pictures.
We'll start with image selection and look at what you're missing from images to be able to round out your process and give you lots of ideas, references and suggestions on how to complete your project.
You will receive intensive training in Photoshop and image processing and learn various techniques and tools on how to underpin your visual expression and overall style and look in your project so that it underpins your photographic vision.
The teaching of Photoshop takes place both in the workshop and with online tutorials on the members page.
In addition, you will also receive online training with an introduction to PR and marketing, where you will get a number of manageable methods on how to generate publicity and visibility for your project. Again, we follow up with live calls and the opportunity to ask questions. In addition, you will also have your 1-1 sparrings sessions with us in this module.
We round off the 'One-Year Personal Project' by meeting again and hanging pictures for a final exhibition that opens to the public and where each participant shows their work.
We end the year and the program by celebrating each other at a joint dinner.
